Summary: Decent but DEAD in less than a year
Comment: I got the Lasko 6350 at Tar-jay back in January (around $50). Despite short-comings like beeping loudly at every button push, lack of a fan-only option, and an inconsistent thermostat, I was overall pretty content with its operation.
I used it moderately to keep my bedroom comfortable from January through May or so, then gave it an extended summer vacation. Brought it back on the scene around early October. It was working fine for a day or two, then just refused to turn on. When I plug it in the little red power light still comes on, but it doesn't beep anymore. No buttons on the unit or remote get any kind of response. It is basically in a vegetative state.
I have to add - I thought the stand would be a good idea since my bed is pretty high. I wasn't thinking about the fact that the heat is going to rise anyway, and having the heat start about a foot off the ground makes it more difficult than it should be to warm your feet if you're sitting or standing. I just ordered a different tower heater that does not have a stand and does have a fan-only option for when you just want some circulation and/or white noise.

Comment: I have purchased two Lasko 6350 heaters.
Overall I really like this heater.
The Pros:
- Relatively quiet. Some people mentioned that there is a difference in noise level between the high & low settings. In the model I purchased there was no difference in noise. i.e. the fan level was the same. It is just that in low heat - the amount of heat dispensed is lowed.
- Very nice remote
- Temperature control
- Overall nice performance
The Cons.
- The unit has an option to Oscillate. In one of the units I purchased the Oscillation caused an annoying tapping noise which made me have to replace the heater with another. Since the unit has to be disassembled & reassembled again - that was a little more trouble.

Summary: Excellent Heater!
Comment: I bought this unit to heat my small rancher. My house is raised just above the bay, and the water below can make the rooms and floors freezing in the fall and winter months. When I got the heater, I turned it on and my entire home was warmed up within 10 minutes. Its so easy to use and circulates the warmed air all throughout the rooms and hallway. The unit does not get hot to the touch, and all of its features are simple to operate and convenient. I highly recommend this heater, its the best i've ever had!

Summary: Does the job
Comment: I'm approaching my second winter with this heater. I've had the smaller Holmes heaters which didn't do much of anything (and didn't last either). I find that for a small room, the temperature gauge is pretty accurate, however I'm not sure how accurate it would be in a larger room. I've used the timer/auto shut-off function once or twice. It's a pretty nice feature, though I don't have much a need for it. Hopefully it will last a long time, it's already lasted one season and shows no sign of breaking down.
Pros:
-Quiet on both speeds and during oscillation
-Takes minimal time to heat a small/medium sized room
-Remote controls all functions
-Easy on energy bills
-Takes a relatively small floor footprint
-Heats more than just my feet!
Cons:
-Cannot adjust temperature setting on low - for me it hovers around 72 degrees. With the high setting, you can adjust the heat between 68 & 85 degrees I believe.
-Does dry the air slightly, but it's very live-able.
-Collects a bit of dust on the internal components which cannot be easily vacuumed through the vents of the unit.

Summary: Keeps the room nice and warm....
Comment: I love this heater.
It really does a good job keeping the bedroom warm. Sometimes I'll wake up and it'll be too hot that I have to turn it off... did I tell you that it comes with a remote control????
It's a great thing to have by the night table especially when you wake up in the middle of the night and don't feel like getting out of bed to shut it off.
I also love the fact that you can adjust the temperature to what you want and also how many hours you want it on for.
It's a excellent heater to have It's especially great for those of you who have Landlords that are too cheap to give you heat.
