Customer Rating: Summary: Compare with Little Giant Ladders, Werner wins Comment: I defy most anyone to tell the difference, if indeed there are any significant differences -- I can't find them -- between Little Giant brand ladders and Werner. Where you will find the difference is at the check out cash register. Werner is half the price. Oops sorry: I meant less than half the price. This is a great ladder, with its versatility, flexibility, and robust strength. Well designed. Stores in a small space too.
Customer Rating: Summary: great product Comment: Received the ladder quickly and it was everything it was stated to be. Am very pleased.
Customer Rating: Summary: Costco is out Comment: I was at my at my local Costco store last night looking for one of these ladders, I only could find one abandoned in the back, the service desk told me this the last one they have and it is a return, but this item is deleted from their inventroy and no longer will be carried by Costco, ( pattent problem ?) she searched the other stores in state and could not find one, so I grabbed the one they had, and I am glad I did. this ladder is solid as a rock and a winner. Sorry I can not tell you about the Amazon ladder.
Customer Rating: Summary: Toolman Comment: I purchased this ladder for the capability to use it in a tall stairway, and for the use with scafolding. I have the same looking scafolding as in the picture on the sale page, however the ladder rails are 1/4" too narrow, so it won't work. The extra braces for setting up the scafolding with the ladder part that separates from the main ladder won't stay in the groove of the rail. They're not made very well to fit where they should, and I shouldn't have to modify them to make it work. On a positive note the ladder is useful otherwise.
Customer Rating: Summary: No work platform? Comment: From all the reviews I have read here this ladder looks like the one for me. One thing I have not seen in the reviews is the work platform that comes with the Werner MT17 offered from Q.V.C. for $172.68 + $23.72 S&H. I would think a work platform would cost about $40.00 if purchased as an accessory which Amazon does not offer. And the reviews form the people purchasing this ladder from Costco did not mention anything about a work platforn included. So this ladder from Amazon is not a great buy if you have to lay out extra money for a work platform, which I need. Totals > From Q.V.C. with work platform > $172.68 + $23.72s&h + N.Y. tax= $214.64. From Amazon > without work platform $173.35 + $25.00s&h + $0 tax= $198.35 -$25.00 Cash back until 9/30/06 = $173.35 + $40.00 work platform =$213.35.
Less than one dollar difference! I guess if my Costco has the MT17 for $100.00 that is the best way to go. Just don't know where to get the work platform accessory from?
